Supported Devices
In addition to the specific system requirements a device must meet in order to successfully connect to the wireless networks at UCCS, only specific device types/families are officially supported on our wireless networks.
See below for examples of devices we support, and also devices we may not officially support but will provide a best-effort level of support as they may work on our network depending on their capabilities.
Officially Supported Device Types
We officially support the following device types.
- Standard computers
- MacOS desktops, laptops, tablets, etc
- Windows OS desktops, laptops, tablets, etc
- ChromeOS devices such as Chromebooks
- Mobile Devices
- iOS based devices
- Android based devices
- Other similar consumer-grade mobile devices
Unsupported Device Types and Caveats
While we unofficially support the following device types, they may work on our network depending on their capabilities and configuration ability. They still need to meet our specific system requirements. We provide a best-effort level of support for these devices, but cannot guarantee they will work.
- Some Linux based operating systems
- Raspberry Pi devices
